Orders Currently Closed Until August 2018 Due To Relocation
Each Dressed by Tess commission is unique, and as such we prefer to arrange in-person consultations whenever possible when new work is being discussed. This ensures absolute clarity for all involved, and contributes greatly to both the creative process and to the overall experience for the client of having a bespoke item made. So many wonderful ideas pop out of nowhere when you can just talk!
To enquire about having something made, please use our Contact page to ask questions, and request a consultation. Consultations are held in our studio in West Footscray, and are available between 1pm and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, by appointment only. Alternate locations and times are occasionally available, at the discretion of Dressed by Tess.
Lead time for commissions is 4-6 weeks from the date a deposit payment (50% not inclusive of shipping costs) has been received. For example, if an order is confirmed on July 2nd, but a deposit not paid until July 20th, then goods will be ready to collect within 4-6 weeks of the later date.
Any major alterations to the original agreed design may incur extra fees, depending on what additional materials or labour is required, and at the discretion of Dressed by Tess.

That Nasty Fine Print:
A consultation fee of $50 is applicable to all new clients, and is payable in advance of your booked time. This amount will then be removed from the final cost of your order. This amount is also non-refundable if a consultation is cancelled within 24 hours of your booked time, but is transferable if the consultation is re-booked for a later date. A consultation date may be transferred up to 3 times, after which point it will be deemed a cancellation, and the fee will be forfeit.
A 50% deposit is required for all commissions, and is non-refundable once work has commenced on your piece in the case of change-of-mind, or similar circumstances pertaining to Australian Consumer Law (ACCC LINK). The balance of your commission is payable on completion of your commission, and before the delivery/collection of your piece. Any commissions not paid in full within 60 days of written notification of completion will be seen as abandoned goods, and will be sold, donated, or repurposed at the discretion of Dressed by Tess.
Payment plans are available and welcome, as long as they adhere to the above criteria for payment times. In the case of a long-term payment plan, work will not begin on a commission until the 50% deposit has been reached.
